A very successful night for the Amberieu Rugby Club !

On St-Patrick’s night (Friday March 16,), the Amberieu Rugby Club organized an Irish night, turning the “Espace 1500” into a huge pub with an authentic decor where people meet friends and enjoy lovely and original Irish music with a good beer.

Everyone lent a hand – players, managers, leaders, coaches - to ensure the success of the event.

The perfect performance of “Noir Houblon” (from Bourg-en-Bresse), and of Celtic Hangover (from Chambéry) with their Irish guitarist and his great sense of humour, the invitation to step in and dance to the scottish, polkas and jigs, made this night a success in the best possible conditions.

3000 people for Celtic Hangover

Never seen before! No less than 3000 people attended the last show of “cite d’ été”(summer festival in Chambery)last Friday night! A first, said the cultural services officials who are delighted and were talking yesterday about a “fantastic success”.

Once on our feet, we never sat down again.
People who think folk music is a thing of the past will see that this music brings generations together.

We expect the prestigious Irish group Celtic Hangover, one of the best groups at the moment. They play very refreshing celtic folk rock with world influences.

An unforgettable night

The” passport for Ireland” will be remembered among the 2003 “centre de loisirs” shows as an outstanding night. To join in and be carried away in the Irish world, the audience got on their feet and clapped their hands to cheer the wonderful musicians who sing with their hearts and soul , songs about their country, its struggles and hardships, its pubs, beer and joys.
Once standing, the audience who really joined in with those accomplices all through the night never sat down again.
Children were not forgotten and were invited up on stage several times.
At the end of the night the crowd regretfully left the “centre de loisirs” which had been turned into a giant Irish pub and promised to come back for such a wonderful and convivial evening. That’s what they told the organizers and congratulated them for their choice.
Celtic Hangover is sheer happiness and can be enjoyed without moderation with a pint of beer. The inhabitants of St Paul-Trois –Chateaux wouldn’t deny it.

When Ireland flows freely

A bomb in the heart of Talange. Here’s what exploded on Saturday night when about 600 people gathered in the cultural exchange center to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. An explosion of cheerfulness, dance and frolic took place at the very moment Celtic Hangover took to the stage. And the explosion just made people very happy.
It gains ground, even puts pins and needles in shy peoples legs, girls smile boys talk beer flows freely here’s a concert hall turned into a gigantic Irish pub. And when its almost time to leave Eire, the choruses of “Dirty old town” and “Whiskey in the jar” stir the guests again !
